Cultivating a collaborative, well-resourced work environment where staff feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow is what FTCSC is about. Thursday, FTCSC hosted our 2nd District Mentoring session for 26/27, focusing on a crucial foundation for student success: Classroom Management for the New Teacher.

Mentors and mentees gathered to gain real-world strategies and insights from six experienced FTCSC teachers, followed by collaborative situational Q&A discussions on navigating everyday classroom scenarios.

FTCSC is dedicated to supporting our newest Difference Makers through targeted mentorship from our amazing staff both at the building and district levels. Together, we're building a stronger future for our schools and students!

How cool is this! Former FTCSC Flashes Community students are coming back home, but this time they are not sitting in the classroom; they are standing at the front of it, Making A Difference for the next generation of Flashes!

This year, we are excited to welcome a large number of Franklin Central graduates back home to work throughout our FTCSC Flashes Community!

We recently sat down with four of those graduates, Samantha Williams, Grace Wilson, Lola Reddick, and Dion Smith, to learn more about their journey back to FTCSC, the teachers and staff who Made A Difference in their lives, and how those experiences are now shaping the way they serve their own students.

Each of their stories is different, but they all have something pretty special in common. Someone at FTCSC believed in them, encouraged them, helped them see what they were capable of becoming, and Made A Difference in their lives! Now, they have the opportunity to do the same for the next generation of Flashes!

That is pretty awesome! Read more about Samantha, Grace, Lola, and Dion and what brought them back home to our FTCSC Flashes Community:

30 backpacks turned into 58 opportunities to Make A Difference! A huge thank you to Fischer Homes and their Indianapolis team for donating 58 backpacks filled with school supplies to support students in our FTCSC Flashes Community!

Through Fischer Homes’ company-wide “Pack To Give Back” initiative, their Indianapolis team set a goal of collecting 30 backpacks for our FTCSC Flashes Community Students. They did not just meet that goal, they nearly doubled it!

We are incredibly thankful for community partners like Fischer Homes who come alongside our schools to support our students and families. It is through Meaningful Collaboration like this that we continue to strengthen our FTCSC Flashes Community and Make A Difference for our students.

Sometimes, Making A Difference starts with something as simple as a paintbrush.

If you have driven through downtown Wanamaker recently, you have probably noticed the beautiful new artwork at the corner of Southeastern and Northeastern Avenues. What many may not know is that it was created by Franklin Central High School alumna Christina Hollering, whose journey came full circle as she returned to celebrate the community that first inspired her creativity.

Read how one teacher's encouragement, a hometown connection, and a passion for art became a lasting gift to the FTCSC Flashes Community.
